BOLLYWOOD actress AMNEEK signs KATOHORA's psychological romance 'THE
END"
NEW YORK, June 23, 2005 – "THE END"... when reel ends and
real life begins!
 Manan
Katohora is back with "The End", a semi-autobiographical film that
explores the relationship between 2 filmmakers Aman and Sonya, and their
analysis of "the end" of two classic movies - 'CASABLANCA'
and 'HUM DIL DE CHUKE SANAM'. Fresh after the successful worldwide release of
ARYA, Manan looks onto an honest reflection of relationships in the 25th
century with 'The End'. A subject very close to the filmmaker himself, which
he penned a month after he called off his wedding.
This is Manan's third film as director, fourth as actor/writer, and second as
producer and like all Manan's films, an impressive cast makes up the
characters. The protagonist is a very bold strong female character. In
"The End", the protagonist Sonya will be played by Amneek Sandhu,
who is no stranger to the big screen, she has been in crossover
Indian-American films (Just Indian, Young Adventures of Van Hansling) and
Bollywood movies (Kehta Hai Dil Baar Baar with Jimmy Shergill and Paresh Rawal,
Des Hoyaa Pardes with Juhi Chawla). In addition, she will soon be seen in
SHAADI KARKE PHAS GAYA YAAR starring SALMAN KHAN and Shilpa Shetty, releasing
end of Summer 2005.
Dhaval Mehta is co-directing and co-producing the movie with Manan. His
previous work includes 2 short films, "Transit" and
"Catharsis", both of which he has written and directed. Also, the
talented director has a Music Video to his credit called "The Last

Talented Shetal Shah joins the cast as Maya. This is Shetal Shah's second film
with Manan. Earlier this month, Shetal won the best actress award at first
ever SOUTH ASIAN MEDIA AWARDS event, for Arya. This is also first
time well known Chinese-American actress Jing www.jing.tv

Manan has acted in Indian Fish in American Waters, ARYA and Flavors. ARYA was
